Thanks to customers from all over, including in Shelburne, VT, American Honda Motor Co. Inc. witnessed its best December sales record ever, as well as its second-best annual sales total. It's satisfying to know that our customers are finding what they need; after all, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you!
At 2013's conclusion, Honda's total sales tally for the year was 1,525,312 units, an increase of 7.2 percent for the year. For December, Honda and Acura posted a total of 135,255 units sold resulting in a 1.9 percent sales increase versus December 2012.
Moving into the Honda Division, Honda achieved a sales total of 1,359,876 units for 2013, which is a 7.4 percent increase and second best sales total for the brand. In December, the Honda Division sold 119,504 vehicles, a 2.4 percent increase.
Here are just a fraction of the highlights:
- Accord sales are up 10.5 percent, its best since 2008. The Accord is a leader in its segment
- CR-V sales passed the 300,000 mark, it's first time ever. In addition to being a segment leader, the CR-V also had its best December ever with 28,759 units sold
- Civic sales showed an upswing of 5.7 percent, its best since 2008, its third best in two scores' time, and it is a leader in its segment
